Vikram Prabhu debuted with Prabhu Solomon’s Kumki and the film was a big hit. Lakshmi Menon acted in the film as his heroine. Vikram Prabhu is currently busy with Ivan Vera Mathri directed by Saravanan of Engeyum Eppothum fame. He will soon start his next project titled Sigaram Thodu which will be directed by Gaurav of Thoonga Nagaram fame. The film will start rolling from the first week of May.

And the wait is over! A.R. Rahman can get a glimpse of his music from Bharatbala’s Mariyaan, tonight. The much awaited Mariyaan songs are likely to be launched in Chennai on April 23. The film has Dhanush and Parvathi Menon in lead roles. The film revolves around the story of human survival, partially adapted from a real-life crisis event of Indian migrants made hostages in Sudan. AR Rahman is composing music and background score for Mariyaan, while cinematography is handled by Marc Koninckx. The film is produced by Venu Ravichandran under his Aascar Films banner.

Director Hari Gopalakrishnan says his upcoming Tamil action-drama “Singam 2″ will be an extension of “Singam”, but not a sequel. The second part is a continuation of the first with additional characters. “I have retained all the characters from the first part and I have also added a few more actors in ‘Singam 2′, which makes it a continuation of the first part. Probably for the first time in Tamil cinema such a feat is attempted,” said Hari in a statement.
