The latest news is that Rajnikanth will be doing one more movie with P.Vasu. Vasu would be five-times lucky, already having done Mannan, Uzhaipalli, Chandiramukhi and Kuselan with the Superstar. It is also said that the movie will be produced by Reliance Big Pictures. It is learnt that Rajni was highly impressed by the story narrated by Vasu and has also agreed to do this film.
Meanwhile, their Kuselan’s shooting is complete and re-recording will begin for the movie this Monday. The movie’s release is said to be in the end of July.
Kovai Brothers who had earlier produced film like Ennamma Kannu, Charlie Chaplin, Maha Nadigan and Englishkaran is now producing a film titled Rajathi Raja. This film is directed by Shakthi Chidambaram who had earlier directed hit films like Pazhani and Sandai. Lawrence is doing the lead role and he is being paired with six leading heroines. There will also be six villains in this film. Karunas is also doing a pivotal role in this film. Dheena is composing the music for the lyrics penned by Director Perarasu. This film has a strong story line.
Normally in a chess game the king will be kept in check by the opponents but in this film the hero keeps the check for others. How and why forms the crux of the story. The shooting of the film will take place in Udumalaipet, Pollachi, Karaikudi, Munnar, Hong Kong, Pukhet and Indonesia.
Actress Malavika had walked out of film Karthigai on account of sexual harassment by the producer H Anjeneyalu.The actress had leveled charges that producer Anjaneyalu had harassed her after she refused to perform certain heavy dance movements that she was asked to. Malavika, who has not taken any legal action so far, has left it in the hands of Sarath Kumar, President, Tamil Nadu Film Artistes Association. Yesterday Sarath tried to patch both the producer and Malavika. He also persuaded Malavika to finish the film.
But Malavika could not be convinced and she refused to act in this film citing the reason of her pregnancy and also her priority to family. In view of this Malavika is being replaced by Namitha. Director Veera said that Malavika scenes would be deleted and the fresh scenes would be shot with Namitha. Vikramadithya is playing the lead along with Namitha and Samiksha in this film, which is being directed by Veera.
Yesterday was the last day of Kuselan’s shooting. The sequence was shot in the Shanthi theatres with thousands of Rajni’s fan celebrating the first day first show. The dubbing work is going on and Rajni who is presently dubbing for this movie was highly impressed and is eager to see the movie at the earliest. Rajni’s fans have also participated in the song Cinema Cinema.
Ajith and Vijay are not dancing in this movie. The audio of Kuselan will be released on 30th of this month. The film is to be released next month.
Pa Vijay wanted to write a lyric for a song in the film ‘Uliyin Osai’, for which Kalaignar Karunanidhi has written the story and dialogues. Ilayaraja had some tunes composed as per the request of Pa. Vijay. But at the appointed time Pa. Vijay did not turn up instead he had sent the lyrics through his assistant to Ilayaraja stating the reason that he was busy with some other commitment.
The infuriated maestro rejected Pa Vijay’s lyrics and asked Pazhani Bharathi to pen a lyric and composed the song. Ilayaraja has also decided not to compose songs for Pa Vijay lyrics in future.
