Achamundu Achamundu is the film directed by Director Arun Vaidyanathan. Prassana and Sneha are in the lead roles.

Arun Vaidyanathan who studied software in Chennai and freelanced for a couple of satellite channels before setting off to the U.S. Vaidyanathan enrolled himself at the New York Film Academy. Soon short films became his forte — he has made eight so far. Most of them have won awards at various international fests and are popular on Trigger Street, an online short film community for independent movie makers, co-founded by actor Kevin Spacey.

Achamundu Achamundu features Hollywood star John Shea in a prominent role. John Shea is an Emmy award winning artist who has made a significant contribution to the world of cinema and theatre arts with several films like Hussy, Windy City, The Insurgents and Framed. He has commercial hits like Honey I blew up the Kid as well as critically acclaimed films such as Lune De Miel to his credit. Achamundu Achamundu will be his first international feature film.

Sahara QED will be working for the visual effects of the film The visual effects supervision will be led by Jon Labrie, who has several blockbuster hits such as Broken Arrow, Independence day and the Frighteners to his credit.

Award winning visual effects producer N Madhusudanan, who carved a niche for himself working in Hollywood productions such as The Return of The King, Spiderman 3 and Click, is also part of the team.

Chris Freilich is the cinematographer of ‘Achamundu …’ The DP has wielded the camera for the Naomi Campbell-Sushmita Sen-Suresh Oberoi-starrer, ‘Karma, Confessions and Holi,’ ‘Chasing the White Dragon’ and a couple of V’s short films, including ‘Stinking Cigar. For the first time ever, Red One camera is used in Indian cinema. This futuristic equipment has only been used in a handful of Hollywood productions. Red is the next generation technology that will combine both the quality of 35mm and the adaptability of digital editing/ transfer systems.

Plans are on to dub it tentatively in Spanish, French, German, Creole, Mandarin, Mende / Temne, Arabic, Bangla, Burmese, Vietnamese, Srilankan, Urudu and to be released in 18 different Countries in a time span of 6 months from date of release. The film will have an international film festival premiere, contending in the mainstream cinema category.

The film is a thriller, a linear narrative on a global issue. People all over the world can relate to it.

Expectations: From the laps of stupendous team

Rangeela Enterprises is producing a film titled Psycho. The serial murders allegedly by a psycho killer in Chennai have inspired Kollywood to come up with a movie. The film is directed by Chithrai Selvan. The film is about a series of murders that occur in a city. Security guards get murdered one after another. An honest police officer begins investigation and is shocked as he unravels the mystery behind the deaths. He faces problems from various quarters during the investigations.

Whether he manages to punish the killer forms the crux. Psycho is a thriller that is sure to surprise many. It would be a tri-lingual film (Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam). Dashi scores the music while Super Subbarayan handles the stunt.

Kajal Agarwal is really going places these days. The five-feet-six svelte girl from Mumbai armed with a degree in Mass communication entered the tinsel town through Bharathiraja, the talent spotter. The veteran director decided to cast her as the female protagonist in his bilingual Cinema (in Hindi) and Bommalattam (in Tamil). Even before the release of her debut film, Kajal Agarwal is hot property in Telugu films thanks to Teja who introduced her there with Lakshmi Kalyanam.

Director Rajasekhar mentioned that this film was made at a cost of Rs.23 Crores.

Asif Ali, son of Prince of Arcot Nawab Muhammad Abdul Ali is composing the music for the film Thamizhagam. This film is being directed by Suresh Kumar. Richard, who has rechristened himself as Rishi, now plays a cop in this movie. The cast includes Archana, Karunaas, Devan, Malaysia Vasudevan, Kalairani and Ajay.Pawan Shankar wields the camera while B.S.Vasu and Saleem is in charge of the editing.

Stunt director Rocky Rajesh, who has choreographed the action sequences for Vijayakanth and Vijay films, makes his debut as an actor in this movie. This movie has all the ingredients of a commercial film. The highlight of the film is an action scene shot in the busy roads of Poonamale. Pa Vijay, Muthu Vijayan, Snehan have penned the lyrics for this film.
