Rajni’s Kuselan will hit the screens on the first of August. The climax of this film is said to be the strength and life of this film. Two friends who part ways at young age meet. One person dwindles in poverty while the other becomes a popular superstar. In a school function the superstar gives a big list of the help that his friend has done for him. He becomes emotional while narrating them. At the same time his poor friend also listens to the superstar speech with his eyes filled with tears. Director Balachandar and P.Vasu said this scene made them weep.
Kuselan was screened in Four Frames Preview Theater. Rajnikanth, Latha Rajnikanth, Soundarya Rajnikanth, Director Vasu and his family, Actor Prabhu, Director Balachandar, Pushpa Kandasamy, Pyramid Saimira CEO Swaminathan and Priyadarshan wife Lizzy were present during the screening.
After watching the film Balachandar said,” Rajni did not comment any thing about this film but he had asked for my comments. This film is an astonishing film and Rajni has made me weep in the climax scene. This is not a usual Rajni film. The movie highlights the importance of friendship in every individual’s life. This film speaks about the humanity and affection between the superstar and the poor friend. This film is not a film with a fighting scene in the climax. I am sure that everybody will come out of the theatres wiping their tears. The 20 minutes of the climax has come out excellently well. Pasupathy has also excelled in his action”.
P.Vasu said,” Everybody who watched Kuselan became emotional. Rajni’s action has attracted everybody. My personal opinion is that I had never seen Rajni crying so much before the camera”.
Pushpa Kanthaswamy, describing the movie as an ode to friendship, said it was a movie in which Rajni’s off-screen persona coincides with his on-screen look. “It’s the real Rajnikanth in the name of Ashok Kumar that you will see,” she added.
Perhaps learning about the movie from his wife Lizzy director Priyadarshan is said to have congratulated P Vasu. “It’s an excellent movie. I’m surprised at how well the movie has turned out. Congratulations!”
