Marmayogi will put an end to Pyramid Saimira

Imagine who could have said such an appalling statement that Pyramid Saimira will be drenched with grief soon after producing Marmayogi. Well, this was something more sensational that was heard from one of the in-house members of this production house. Pyramid Saimira was wedged with serious blackouts in Bollywood as it shut down its branch in North India as well Hindi film industry. Nearly around 72 theatres owned by it were shutdown and PS Swaminathan of Pyramid Saimira accepted that they were running out in loss at North India as well in Bollywood.

Well, producing a movie worth Rs.100Crores is not as easy of ordering pizzas from your nearest centres. It’s a risky project and for sure making a film centered on back old 7th century requires lots of courage. Of course, Kamal Haasan is a man of experiments whose desires are to take Tamil Cinema to the higher level in the category of World Cinema. But, none of the team members are sure about the film making high collections in box-office. For instances, take the list of Kamal Haasan’s exceptional films, ‘Aalavandhan’, ‘Hey Ram’, ‘Anbe Sivam’ and more. These movies won laurels across certain audiences and honored with awards , but their collections at box-office weren’t so pleasing. So, let’s wait and see how Kamal Haasan tries something different in hitting bull ’s eyes at both box office and getting it nominated for world famous awards.

“Mani Rathnam and Ram Gopal Varma are opposite poles” – Chakravarthy

Ajith on his pilgrimage tour

Ajith seems to have acquired certain traits of religious beliefs from Rajnikanth. It was during the pre-release of Billa that Rajnikanth offered him dinner and gifted a novel called ‘Living Masters of Himalayas’. And then started Ajith’s new venture on religious aspects as he started making regular visits to all the temples. Recently after completing his ‘Aegan’, he had visited Shitty Saibaba temple and returned Chennai for dubbing.

Yesterday, he made his way to Sottanikarai Bhagavathy Amman Temple. Very shortly, he has planned to travel across Tirupathi, Kollur Thai Mugambigai and other temples.

Karunanidhi launches Abhiyum Naanum audio

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Karunanidhi launched the Audio Cd of the Film Abhiyum Naanum at his Party Head office on Saturday 27th in Chennai which saw majority of the Tamil Film Industry in attendance. a lot of prominent political figures were also seen. As he generally doesn’t attend film functions this was a rare sighting.

He also launched a Mumbai’s very own Ganesh Venkataraman, as the new face of Tamil cinema. He spoke highly of his performance in the film. He also said that after ‘Sivaji’ Ganeshan, it is the next Ganesh – Ganesh Venkataraman and that he will surely go a long way in the Tamil Film Industry. Ganesh touched Karunanidhi’s feet to seek his blessings for his film. Ganesh is paired opposite Trisha who is currently the ruling number one actress of Tamil and Telugu cinema

Ganesh spoke about his experience of the film and wished best of luck to everyone involved with the film. He spoke about his transition from Modeling to Television and then from Television to Film and also added that language shouldn’t be a boundary for any artiste. Ultimately it is the story and emotions that wins the hearts of audiences. Ganesh was last seen in the serial Antariksh on Star plus and many T.V commercials. Last year he won the ‘Seoul Drama Awards’ in Korea for his 3D T.V series ‘Mayavi’ defeating 32 countries worldwide. Mayavi was produced by Mani Rathnam’s brother G.V Rathnam.

What was unique was that Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Karunanidhi and his daughter Member of Parliament Kanimozhi released the audio of the film together as the underlying theme of the film is a father- daughter relationship. The film’s Producer Prakash Raj who plays Trisha’s father in the film, acclaimed director Radha Mohan were also present and lauded Ganesh’s performance . The film will be released on Diwali simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu. The musical score by Vidhyasagar has been well received across the audio stores…
