Following the success of Anjathey, actor Narain was waiting patiently to commence his next film. Though he came across several scripts, he finally zeroed in on Pookadai Ravi after a lot of thought. Interestingly the film is set in the Madurai backdrop.

Actor – director K Bhagyarajs forthcoming directorial venture tentatively titled Puthiya Varpugal is almost complete for release early next year.

If anyone can be termed a busy bee in the Tamil film industry these days it has to be Bharathiraja. Now both the veteran filmmakers would be featured together in a film titled ‘Rettai Suzhi’ directed by debutant Thamara.

Thamarai has been a former associate of K. Balachandar penning dialogues for most of his films. Director Shankar produces this film under the banner of S Pictures while Karthik Raja scores music and Chezhiyan cranks the camera. Shooting for this film had hit the floors of Tirunalveli recently and plans are to complete it soon and release it by mid of 2009.

Nandhalala is a film directed by Mysskin. The shooting of the film is over and the re recording work is going on. Ilayaraja has composed the music for this film. Now Mysskin has requested Ilayaraja to compose symphony music for the back ground.

So Ilayaraja has approached four Hungary musicians to help him in this endeavor. The Hungary musicians have accepted the request of the maestro and are in Chennai. This work will commence from tomorrow (17th December).

Deepika Padukone says she was not approached to act in Endhiran. She said this in an exclusive interview. Deepika told,” I made my debut in a Kannada film titled Aishwarya. Though my Hindi films Om Shanti Om and Bacchna A Hasino were block busters , I have not forgotten South Indian cinema .In between there were news that I was approached to act in Endhiran and I turned down this offer. There is no truth in this. Nobody approached me with regard to this.

Maybe I would have acted if I had been approached. The film Chandni Chowk to China Town featuring me and Akshay Kumar is releasing next month. I am donning dual roles like in Om Shanthi Om. I am donning a soft home loving character and the other one in a tough role which is action oriented. I am lucky because all my film have been a hit. Directors have exposed my talents. I am thankful to them. I am also acting in a film with Saif Ali Khan. Being a daughter of a badminton player, I want to act in sports oriented films. I am willing to act even in a cricket based film”.
