Very recently a fan asked me, ‘was there any film released on the Birth day of our Thalaivar Rajini?’ Immediately I had gone through the movie data base of Rajini. What a surprise… among all the 150 plus films, no film was released on the prideful birth day of Rajini. ‘Maruthanayagam’ gets life now

Maruthanayagam was conceived by Kamal Haasan after his vivid research from the pages of ancient history. The film was launched by Queen Elizabeth before few years and Kamal Haasan was on seventh cloud with extreme happiness. But due to financial constraints, producers of the film backed off and the project got shelved. After many many years now, Kamal Haasan gets new hopes with India-UK Film Corporation getting collaborated. The agreement was signed between British Government and various Countries where talented filmmakers are unable to produce their works.

This treaty will not alone turn dream projects into reality but get them sold internationally by making western countries aware about those projects.

So, when ‘Marmayogi’ dropped off, it’s ‘Maruthanayagam’ brimming him up with more hopes.

Thamannah in ‘Paiyya’

After much disputes amongst actresses, finest missy has been confirmed for ‘Paiyya’. Director Lingusamy witnessed great flop show with this previous venture ‘Bheema’ released during first month of this year. Later, he had jumped into production of ‘Pattalam’ and his full concentration on it and now with the audio being launched and film is ready to hit the screens, he has geared up with his next directorial.

The film titled ‘Paiyya’ was reported to be a remake of Telugu movie ‘Vikramadithyadu’. Earlier, Nayanthara was roped into the film and later due to remuneration issues, she was pulled out and talks were going on with Trisha. Finally, it’s Thamannah who has signed agreement for the film and somehow she could make up amidst of busy shooting schedules in both Tamil and Telugu projects.

Mumaith Khan as action heroine in ‘Macchakanni’

For those who had yearned watching for Mumaith Khan on a full length feature, here she comes with ‘Macchakanni’. This bilingual film is produced in both Tamil and Telugu by Satish Kumar under the banner of Satish Films Corporation. Telugu Actor J.D. Chakravarthy dons the lead role while Mumaith stars him opposite as his ladylove.

Velu Prabhakaran handles story, screenplay, and dialogues and cranks the camera. Bobby who scored music for ‘Sollamalae’ tunes in melodies while Raja Velu wields megaphone. Shooting for this film will hit the floors by next month.

Asin clears off with rumors

South Indian Actress Asin is all excited about her debut flick ‘Ghajini’ hitting screens on December 25. Apart from this, she has almost completed shooting for her ‘London Dreams’ starring opposite Salman Khan and Ajay Devagan in lead role with Vipul Shah as the director. Earlier, Vipul had confirmed that Asin had demanded for a pair of shoes that costs Rs. 2Lakhs. Nevertheless, the actress has denied it saying they’re rumors and also assured the media channels to verify it with designers of the film.

Also there were rumors pertaining to the fact that she locked Jiah Khan inside a room while filming for Ghajini. She jocularly comments on this saying both of them never have a sequence together and how come she could have done this.
