Release of A…Aa…E…Ee… postponed

AVM Production has been extensively promoting it’s forthcoming venture ‘A…AA…E…EE’ to greater levels with more promos. AVM Shanmugam produces this film while Sabapathy handles story, screenplay, dialogues and direction. Navdeep, Monika, Aravind and Annapoorani dons lead roles while Prabhu, Manorama and Haneefa are playing prominent characters.

Earlier, plans were to release the film on December 18, but with many films lined for release, producers have developed second thought now. The release date of film has been postponed to Jan 9, 2009 a week prior to Pongal releases. That would be the right time as this month’s releases may run out of theatres and producers can witness some profits prior to Pongal releases like ‘Villu’ and Bala’s ‘Naan Kadavul’.

Vijay-Nayanthara together again?

Actress Nayanthara is so desolate as she has lost hopes in Kollywood with most of her films flunking continually in box office. Her only hope right now is none other than Vijay starrer ‘Villu’ directed by Prabhu Deva. As she has completed shooting for this film now, Nayanthara has geared up with a Malayalam film after a long time. The film titled ‘Baadikaad’ has Malayalam superstar Dileep in lead role while Nayan stars him opposite in female lead. Ace director Siddique who shot to fame with his directorial ‘Friends’, ‘Engal Annan’ and ‘Saadhu Miranda’ directs this film.

Sources have revealed that Nayanthara has reduced her remuneration to ¾ lesser than her present status. Speaking on this, the actress says that she isn’t worried about salary and all her dedication is for acting. ‘Baadikaad’ has a gripping storyline and that’s the reason she opted for this film and Siddique is remaking in Tamil too with Vijay in lead role. Possibly, Vijay may recommend Nayanthara for this film too as she is the female lead in the original version. Everything would be confirmed after ‘Villu’ has good response…

Birthday day Special Part – I

Why Thalaivar’s films not released on his birthday ?

Very recently a fan asked me, ‘was there any film released on the Birth day of our Thalaivar Rajini?’ Immediately I had gone through the movie data base of Rajini. What a surprise… among all the 150 plus films, no film was released on the prideful birth day of Rajini. In his earlier days, some films like Balu Jenu (Kannada – 10.12.76), Galatta Samsara (Kannada – 2.12.77), En Kelvikkenna Bathil (Tamil 9.12.78), Justice Gopinath (16.12.78), Priya (22.12.78), Murattukaalai (20.12.80) were released in the month of December. But none of them was released on his birthday. Later Rajini …. more … »
