Perarasu is gearing up for his next directorial titled ‘Thiruthani’ starring Bharath in lead role. As usual, he would be handling story, screenplay, dialogues, direction, special appearance, penning lyrics and for the first score music.

Yuvan Shankar Raja marking a great feat in the music industry of Kollywood is set for a grand live-musical show at Canada. Organized by Sree, President of Tamil Association of Canada, the programme is slated to happen on April 25 at Canada in a grand manner. Yesterday, the Music Director addressed about this event to media channels. Speaking on the occasion, Yuvan said, ‘My dad Ilayaraja and my sister Bhavatharini would be accompanying him’. Also Shankar Mahadevan, Vasundhara Das and many more singers would be taking part. Actresses Tharika, Meenakshi and Sana Khan would be dancing with the songs tuned by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Talks are going on with a famous actor for his dance performance while sooner comedy actors’ name performing humorous skits.

The most expected film ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ is getting released tomorrow all over India. Well, the bookings are so stunning in all the five centres where the film is getting released. The film has won the most prestigious awards and the unforgettable, ever-cherishing is the ‘Golden Globe Awards’ won by A.R. Rahman. The film starring Dev Patel and Frieda Pinto in lead roles has Anil Kapoor and Irrfan Khan in prominent roles.
Sources have revealed that the dubbing rights of the film have been bagged by one of the leading producer in Chennai. Buzzes are that, for the first time a dubbed version has been purchased for Rs.70 Lakhs. The Tamil version would be titled as ‘Naanum Koteeswaran’.
The film is about a boy from slums rising to the peaks of glories as he wins the Asia’s leading show ‘Who wants to be a millionaire?’
Followed by ‘Netru Indru Naalai’, Director Lakshmikanth geared up with the Hindi remake of ‘Taxi No 9211′ titled ‘TN 07 AL 4777′ in Tamil. The film is about a Taxi Driver (Pasupathy) and a multi-billionaire’s heir (Ajmal) clashing each other on one fine accidentally that’ll change their entire course of life. Meenakshi pairs up with Ajmal while Simran plays the role of Pasupathy’s wife. Shooting for this film had commenced on May 23 and got completed on December 23.
At the moment, A. Lakshmikanth is busy working on post production works of editing and rerecording works. Producers are planning to release the film by end of this month or earlier by first week of February. For the first time, in the history of Tamil Cinema a movie has been shot at rare places of Chennai including the dangerous slum area of Otteri and a busy zone of Sowkarpet. Major portion of the film has been shot at Super 35format.
Well, Kushboo and Ramba had their fans adoring them and raising temples for their dream girls. But those actresses were quite boastful permitting their fans for building temples. But unlike them, Nayanthara is so cognizant about the fact that she is unworthy for such appraisals. Over for a long time, her fans have been involved in raising funds and looking for good places for building temple. But the actress has interrupted now and pledged not to get them involved in such actors. ‘Temples are made for Gods and Goddesses and lay men and women don’t deserve their places’ said Nayanthara.
