‘Jack of Offbeat themes’ – Cheran is worthy getting ennobling with such title as he has been winning laurels on such motifs. Presenting life as chronicles has been his mantra of success. For illustrations, ‘Autograph’ and ‘Thavamai Thavamirundhu’ could be the best ones. Similarly, ‘Pokkesham’ is a film passing on from different ages to the present times (Say from 1970 to 2009). Padmapriya plays Cheran’s ladylove and shooting for the film is almost completed. Says Cheran, ‘I self-analyzed that audience love watching me as a silent and soft-spoken person unlike ‘Mayakannadi’.
According to me, it was a good film that missed out audiences’ interest and I shouldn’t have acted in that film’. Hope Cheran makes his comeback with a good strike in ‘Pokkesham’
Well doubtlessly, there are more dim-witted producers in town who pen stories depicting woman to appear in glamorous roles. Of course, Lekha Washington seems to be more bitten with such filmmakers and producers approaching her. When asked why she isn’t seen in any films? This was her reply. At present, the actress has signed for a Hindi Film to be produced by UTV Productions and shooting would commence in month of February.
Till then she is not supposed to reveal anything about the film. In Tamil, she pairs up with Jai for ‘Rakkozhi’ that will start rolling from May. Pushkar-Gayathri would be directing the film. Speaking on ‘Kettavan’, she says, ‘That’s an end and more talks about it’.
Actress Thamannah is so elated about her recent film ‘Padikadhavan’ making good collections across the box office. At the moment, she has completed her portions for ‘Ayan’ starring Surya in lead. Thamannah is so happy for having worked Surya and K.V. Anand as everyone on the sets has been so friendly. Her ‘Ananda Thandavam’ will hit the screens for Valentine’s Day. Also she has completed acting for a Telugu movie ‘Konjam Kashtam Konjam Ishtam’.
Shooting for the remake of ‘Jab We Met’ will begin in the month in March and Thamannah says she wouldn’t be copycatting Kareena Kapoor. This would be a challenging role in her career. Bharath doing the role of Shahid Kapoor is something ridiculous and funnier tickling yours ribs.
At times, when actor like Vishal plans for sequel to ‘Satyam’, there are no issues when sequels are made for ‘Naan Avanillai’ – a best entertainer with big collections in box office. The film made before couple of years was a remake of yesteryear film with the title starring Gemini Ganeshan in lead role and directed by K. Balachandar. The remake directed by Selvah had Jeevan in lead role along with 5 heroines.
Much elated with the success of this film, Producer Nemikchand Jhabak has approached Selvah to make a sequel. The entire film would be shot in abroad with the same team and completely new set of heroines. Shooting would hit the floors in the month of March.
It’s the turn of comedians to rock in South Indian Film Industry as leading comedians of Kollywood and Telugu Film Industry are making high waves.
Yup! Actor Vivek and Brahmanandham were recently felicitated with the prestigious awards of ‘Padmashree’ for their insatiable passion for acting in entertaining the masses. Brahmanandham isn’t popular merely in Tollywood, but acquired everyone’s interest with his stupendous performance in ‘Mozhi’ and though his roles were minimal in ‘Satyam’ and ‘Saroja’, he spelled his best performance. Says Brahmanandham, ‘Though I have played lead role in few films, it’s not a hero role, he’s a protagonist of the script. Comedians are like Monkeys. Whatever they come up with audiences are sure to laugh. Well, heroes are alike Lions who are looking out for some actions.
But when Monkeys start thinking like Lions, it’s something ridiculous’. Also added that he would keep acting till his last breath and make people happy…
This is something really shattering all the dreams of Nayanthara. On one part, she has been facing personal problems after her break-up while at the other end, all her films are continuously flunking at box office and the most shocking part is that she’s been missing out all the good offers. Earlier, she was removed out from Lingusamy’s ‘Paiya’ and then Nayan was bit elated when Surya offered her to pair up with him in K.S. Ravi Kumar’s project produced by Udayanidhi Stalin.
However, all of sudden with the film getting launched shortly, sources have revealed that Nayanthara is out from the film. Earlier, Surya was supportive for Nayan and now with Udayanidhi imposing it strongly, he has no words to help her. It’s evident that earlier Nayan was supposed to pair with Vijay in ‘Kuruvi’ produced by Udayanidhi under the banner of Red Giant Movies. But again, there was Trisha behind pulling out her offer and maybe the scenario looks similar.
