Finally, after a month of sabbatical gap Dhanush is back on the floors to start shooting for his ‘Aadukalam’. Patently, it’s the same old team that earlier teamed up for ‘Polladhavan’. Director Vetrimaaran has been vividly researching through the script’s subject over for a year. Now, as he has completed the script works, the film starts rolling today there in Madurai. The film has Dhanush donning the role of a local guy while Trisha is his ladylove taking stand on the character as an Anglo-Indian. Says sources that it’s one of the rarest script crafted so far in Tamil Film Industry.
Dhanush adds that he has been feeling so good as he glimpsed through the script. Velraj cranks the camera while G.V. Prakash scores music and they had earlier worked together for ‘Polladhavan’. Sri Lankan Tamil writer and political observer V. I. S. Jayabalan performs a powerful character alongside Kishore in this film.
Much before a long time, it was Actor Jai Shankar’s ‘Ganga’ that was made on the genre of ‘Cowboy’. And nearly after 38 years, Director Simbhu Devan brims with the same type of film titled ‘Irumbhu Kottai Murattu Singam’. The film has Raghava Lawrence, Padmapriya, and Lakshmi Rai in lead roles while Nasser alongside other actors does prominent roles. It’s a western adventure comedy set at the backdrops of 17th century. Shooting hits the floors by end of March and most portions of the film would be extensively shot at Madhya Pradesh and various spots in North India.
All the actors gearing up for this film are trained with horse-riding, gun-shooting for the past one month. Chimbu says confidently that the film will be entirely new to the audience. We have made the script that way. It seems the project estimated to cross Rs 15 crore.

Produced by Atchaya Multimedia Creations, ‘Innoruvan’ has Adhitya and Manoha in lead roles with Visu, Manivannan, M.S. Bhaskar, ‘Kadhal’ Dhandapani, Azhagu, Vincent Rai, Crane Manohar and many others have performed spectacular roles. A man should possess for turning successful is self-confidence and ‘Innoruvan’ speaks more about this. The highlighting factor in this film would be M.S. Bhaskar’s comedy tracks and of course it’s a special film for him as he makes his debut as playback singer crooning for a fast beat Kuthu Song. Buzzes are that it would be a best song of the year based on the fast beat Kuthu song. Post production works have been completed and after viewing the film, censor board officials passed on ‘U’ certificate appreciating the good directorial of debutant S.T. Gunasekaran. Distributors who watched the film were spellbound with the acting skill of Adhitya and commented that doesn’t like his debut film. The musical album has 7 songs out of which lyrics for 5 songs have been penned by producer of this film S.P. Chandrasekar and he himself has crooned.
Shooting had earlier hit the floors at Chennai followed by Pondicherry, Kuttralam, Amba Samudram, and Kerala. S.T. Gunasekaran makes his debut penning story, screenplay, and dialogues and handling direction. Aatish Uthriyan has tuned melodies while R.T. Anna Durai handled editing and Siva Shankar, Ramesh, Reddy, Dheena and Tharun Raj have choreographed for the songs.

Kalaimamani Awards for 2008 would be conferred on 70 versatile personalities from the field of cinema, arts and literature. Last year, it was Vishal, Silambarasan Jayam Ravi, Jeeva, Vineeth, Venu Aravindh, Kanja Karupu, Trisha, Navya Nair, Deepa Venkat, Aarthy and CID Sakunthala. And lists also continue with lyricists Pa Vijay, Kabilan, Na Muthukumar and music composer Vidyasagar have been chosen for the honor. Besides playback singers Thippu, Madhu Balakrishnan and Bombay Jayashree, cinematographer Paneerselvam who fetched the awards.
Merely before few minutes the recipients for this year were announced. Actor Bharath, Actress Nayanthara, Actress Asin, National Award Winner Meera Jasmine, Actor-Director Sundar C, Drums Sivamani, Avvai Natarajan, Director Cheran and around 70 have been conferred with this title.
