There happens to be a big sort of problem prevailing here and there in parts of Kollywood. Yeah! When you’ve the best technicians and casts in the film, it disappoints you. Again, when there’s a good them in hand, there’s no such top notching technical clarity in the film. It’s more evident with this week’s release. If Ananda Thandavam carried good star-casts and technical team in hand, the film dashed down your hopes. Again, Karthik Anitha has got a good script in hand, however the improper casting and middling technical aspects brims with similar outputs.
Karthik (Rathan) and Anitha (Manju) are close friends right from the small age. For a greater pleasant touch, their parents are too close and have been sharing good rapport. Karthik’s dad (Kotta Srinivasa Rao) is a lovable man and again Manju’s father (Rajan) is nowhere different. Scenarios are same like ‘Siva Manasula Sakthi’ where both the guy and girl keep playing pranks on each other. But they have their love interests for each other so hidden. Much clichéd, fate strike them when Karthik’s dad passes away accidentally and he’s the one person who knows about these sweethearts’ love. Meanwhile, a dirty-minded guy arrives seeking permission to get married with Anitha to which her parents agree. Finally, with not much of tension bounded sequence, the true love is revealed and there’s a happy ending.
Both Rathan and Manju are overwhelmed with good show living under the skin of their characterizations. Well, the rest of star-casts deserve same credits. But the lead actors are a wrong casting and director could’ve opted for famous actors to make the film more reachable. Much on the technical arenas, there isn’t anything more convincing. Cinematography is something that could’ve been much proper and richly presented. Jack Anand’s musical score is a great disappointment. A mediocre screenplay with few enjoyable parts makes the film quite promising for the B and C centre audiences.
Bottom – Line: Good theme with middling make
Verdict: Average
Star-casts: Siddharth, Thamannah, Rukmani, Rishi, Kitty and others.
Production: Aascar Ravichandran
Direction: Gandhi Krishna
Music: G.V. Prakash
Cinematography: Jeeva Shankar
For sure, its better that the veteran ace writer breathed his last much before witnessing this flick, which by all means would have put him to absolute death. Yup! Pirivoam Sandipoam is an interesting piece of work that will make any diehard fan of Sujatha more aggravated. The film has flimsy elements where Gandhi Krishna does a terrible job of adding unwanted elements into it. Well, there’s one best thing you can appreciate on his part and that’s a proper casting. Indeed, the star-casts have done a splendiferous job breathing lives on their characterization.
Raghu (Siddarth) jumps right down the hills of heavy flowing water and for your right guesses, it’s a suicide attempt. From here begins the flashback sequence of Raghu’s unemployment issues, good life with his lovable father and indeed falling in love with a good-hearted innocent girl Madhumitha (Thamannah). When both of them are in deep love, their parents fix marriage and it’s a paradise like feel for this young lad and missy. Eventually, Raghu’s dreams are wiped out when Radhakrishnan (Rishi) from New York transfixes Madhu’s parents and gets her married.
Fine! Raghu’s suicide attempt is a flop show as he’s rescued by his dad (Kitty). Convincing his son to lead an appreciable life, Raghu is sent to United States for higher studies… In a new world of life, his life takes a new dimension when he meets Rathna (Rukmani). A girl born and brought in US is so glued to Indian Culture. Again, there blossoms a good relationship between these two and elders fix their marriage. But, again fate and destiny take on their turns as it urges Raghu and Madhumitha to meet each other…
Siddarth does a decent job by taking up certain things which he confident about. Again, it’s a hallmark in the career of Thamannah. She’s sure to fetch critical acclaims for her enchanting performance. Rukmani proves of her good acting and she’s more matured than in her debut ‘Bommalaatam’. Rishi fits the space of antagonism while Kitty’s characterization is stupendous. Charlie does justice to his role…
G.V. Prakash works magical spell on his melodies, but not the same with his background score. Cinematography by Jeeva Shankar is top-notching and editing by Vijayan is so amateurish.
The film goes ill-equipped with an unconvincing first half and certainly many would run of theatres much prior to interval. However, introducing more and interesting characters in the second half sustains the film turning to be a real terrible flop.
On the whole, it’s a worth that isn’t worth watching….
Bottom – Line: Miserable Adaption
Verdict: Total Garbage
