Of course, pairing up with three heroine and one amongst them happening to be a Mumbai based girl characterization easily lets us draw a partial conclusion. We’re not sure about it. Vishal is so drenched in inevitable worries with his yesterday release ‘Thoranai’ getting bad reviews. Now, he has started shooting for his next film ‘Theeradha Vilaiyaattu Pillai’ directed by Thiru. The film has three heroines on the title cards with Reema Sen and Shriya Charan already roped in.
As one of the characterizations happens to be a Mumbai based girl, Vishal was involved in talks with Bipasha Basu and Tanushree Dutta. As they demanded for more remuneration, Neetu Chandra has been offered to take on that role. As there are whole lot of bikini shows, she has demanded for certain high amount and Vishal has agreed to pay her so.
Wow! Would any of the World’s film personality go capable of this? Never, no one except A.R. Rahman. Looks like, every step he walks on the road earns him millions and millions of dollars. Of course, here’s the best illustration for it.
Recently, CANARA Bank Officials wanted to convey their congratulations for A.R. Rahman for winning Oscars… A.R. Rahman invited them cordially and they chatted for some time. Just to make fun, Rahman asked them, ‘Won’t you allot bank loans for me? I just need Rs. 3Crores’. Trust us! within 30mins of time, the processes worked stunningly faster than an ATM Machine and loan was sanctioned. Although, Rahman totted up he asked for fun, they never backed off and handed the cheque amount on his hand.
Uh-huh! Will it happen for any of us? Just think about it.
Actress Vimala Raman made her debut in Tamil Film Industry with ‘Poi’ and later ‘Raman Thediya Seedhai’. Although the films didn’t extremely good at box office, the actress won more laurels for her best performance. Vimala is quite busy with her other regional film projects and what makes her so excited is Chandiramukhi’s sequel.
As known earlier, Director P.Vasu has roped her in for the sequel ‘Aaptha Mithra’ titled ‘Aaptha Raksha’ that’s rolling fast on the floors. Says Vimala Raman, ‘I have just done couple of films herein Kollywood, but that has got me good credits and indeed fetched a great offer of working a yet-to-be blockbuster. I am enacting the role of an ancient dancer named –Nagavalli and that’s all I can say about this flick now.’
Ah! here’s a great news for all Vijay buffs. With preparations getting on with more hypes for his 50th film ‘Urimai Kural’, it’s been more and more news from day to day. Even Rajnikanth wouldn’t strain so much for his films, but Vijay does so. Actor Vijay carefully roping in best team for his 50th film has now knocked the doors of Sneha. Aye! The actress has been offered to perform the role of another heroine. As known earlier, the first heroine would be actress Thamannah. Looks like Actor Vijay has lost all his focus on his present film ‘Vettaikaaran’ and turned all his attention on 50th film…

Better refund your tickets if you’ve already booked your tickets for this film. Is it quite shocking to you all? Of course, shock is better than getting annoyed after watching this show. The film is a whole lot of dosage of what Telugu Cinema had carried through where villain yells out in deep high voice – ‘Evarura Neeru… Antha Petha Manusha’ ‘Dai… and followed by echoes of Dae… Dae…Dae… Thiskoraa…’
So funny, isn’t? Thoranai has a whole lot of stuffs of these sorts as audiences can enjoy a ride of playing spoofs. ‘Dae Naa Yaarunu Theriyuma… Naa Enga Appaneya Kola Pannuva… Oops! You can’t bear the ludicrous show by Vishal-Vikram Krishna brothers that’s more and more absurd. Right from the beginning till the end, Vishal keeps sings his own appraisals of punch dialogues and precisely, Prakash Raj and Kishore aren’t far enough as they compete with hero on these quotients.
Much before Murugan (Vishal) arrives in Chennai searching for his brother Ganesh who parted away during his childhood, he happens to witness couple of kingpins of underground dealing Tamizharasan (Prakash Raj) and Guru (Kishore). Indeed, he turns to be a witness for the murder committed by Guru in busiest spots of Chennai. On the mission of finding his brother, he comes across a beautiful girl (Shriya Charan) and falls in love with her. At the point, when he gets closer to the situation of finding his brother, he’s exposed for a great clash only to get shocked that one of them is his brother.
Vishal does nothing exceptional other than jumping from floors of height and hitting baddies. Mark the timings of chasing one another and subtract them; half the movie’s duration is reduced. And do the same with punch dialogues… Well, quarter of the flick’s duration is done. Saba Iyyappan much before the film’s release had stated Vishal has excelled with comedy tracks. But everything he does except comedy goes a laugh-riot. Let it be his punch dialogues, dancing, conveying reforming messages and more, everything looks ridiculous. Shriya Charan exposes her body to extreme and her size zero is sure to pull away her dwindling market to culmination of no-offer zone. Prakash Raj and Kishore have done justice to their roles while Santhanam’s rib-tickling comedy tracks add relief to the audiences.
Musical score by Manisharma is unimpressive and rests of the technical aspects are off the same credits.
Screenplay is completely flimsy on all occasion except climax fight sequence drama.
On the whole, ‘Thoranai’ has no chances of topping the box office charts and it’s yet another flop show in the line of Vishal’s home banner…
Bottom -Line: Disappointing on all vistas
Verdict: Please don’t risk yourselves…
