The shooting of the film Vairam which has Richard and Navneeth Kaur in the lead took place in Chennai and its suburbs. Recently a song sequence was shot in Bangkok. The sequence was that the hero and heroine were supposed to sail in a boat and they should push each other for fun. But when the sequence was shot both of them fell into the sea accidentally. Since both of them do not know swimming, they started drowning. Since some of the crew members knew swimming they were able to save both of them.

Richard and Navneeth were in a deep state of shock. It took some hours for them to recover from the shock. They took part in the shooting after some time. K Venugopal is producing this film under the banner Vandhana Media. S P Chelladurai is directing this film. He has also written the story and screenplay. Russell has written the dialogues. P Balakrishnan has handled the camera while Sunil Xavier has composed the music.

Chikku Bukku which has Arya and Shreya in the lead is being produced by Media One Global Entertainment, who produced Dhaam Dhoom. The other heroine is Preetika, who is the younger sister of Bollywood star Amrita Rao. Manikandan who was the assistant to Late Director Jeeva is directing this film. He was the one who completed Dhaam Dhoom after sad demise of Jeeva.

Recently a Sufi song was recorded for this film by Music Composers Hariharan and Leslie of the Colonial Cousins fame. The song was sung by the most popular Sufi singers Wadali Brothers, (Puranchand Wadali & Pyarelal Wadali). They hail from Guru ki Wadali in the Amritsar district in Punjab.

Asin who had recently bought an house for herself in Mumbai will be coming to Chennai after a long time to participate in the photo shoot of 19 Steps. Asin became very busy in Bollywood after Ghajini. It seems she will be on top after the release of the Hindi film London Dreams. In between she has been signed for 19 Steps which is being produced in Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi and English languages. This film is a high budgeted film. It is pertinent to note that Japanese actor Tadanobu Asano is in the lead role. In this film Kamal Haasan dons the role of a martial arts master. This film is an historical film. Japan actor is donning the role of an emperor while Asin is the queen.

The photo shoot of this film is to take place in Alwarpet tomorrow. All the actors and actresses who are featuring in this film are participating in this photo shoot. Asin will be wearing various historical costumes for this photo shoot. Similarly Tadanobu Asano will also wear historical costumes for ths photo shoot. This film is adapted from the novel written by the popular Malayalam writer M T Vasudevan Nair. Bharath Bala is directing this film. Most of the shooting will take place in Kerala. Much prominence is given for martial arts in this film.

Before couple of days back, we got to hear the fantastic news about A.R. Rahman scoring a theme song for Border Security Force of India. Much elated with this rendered service, Tamil Nadu Police Department requested him to score music for their film based on the theme of ‘Kaavalar Namadhu Sevakar’. It was earlier made to glorify the cops who have served their best for society. But as Rahman won the Oscars, they felt it would be much enhancing if Rahman scores music.

However, the Madras Mozart intimated them that he is much available to their concern and work on their convenience. Bringing honor to India with his musical score, Rahman will now have a great part in elevating the standard of BSF and Tamil Nadu Police Department too.
