Day by day, interests over Kamal Haasan’s ‘Unnai Pol Oruvan’ are getting more and more over the expectations. Reason is that, the film happens to be a quickie shot over by a period of just couple of months. The latest addition to this star-cast is Actress Lakshmi who paired up with Kamal Haasan nearly before couple of decades.
Over here in this film, the actress has been offered to enact the role of Chief Secretary monitoring over the troublesome issue. One more highlighting part about the film is that Actor Mohan Lal celebrated his birthday over here in the sets of ‘Unnai Pol Oruvan’.
Director Cheran has finally let himself signing deals with the prominent filmmakers in town. He has already been a part of various good filmmakers’ film. Now, with his directorial ‘Pokkesham’ slated to hit the screens by first week of June, he has given more priorities for the best filmmakers. Director Mysskin has already penned a script for Cheran and they’re likely to start shooting from the mid of this year.
Meanwhile, Rasu Madhuvaran director of the film ‘Mayandi Kudumbathar’ has approached Cheran with an unique script and he has agreed to sign the project. Producers of ‘Pirivoam Sandhipom’ will be producing this film.
Vikatan Talkies who produced Shiva Manasula Shakthi is now producing the film Vaalmiki. Akil who acted in Kalloori is doing the lead role in this film. There are two heroines in this film one is Meera Nandan and the other one is Devika. Ananda Narayan who was an assistant to Director Shankar is directing this film. The audio launch of this film was held at Sathyam Theatres. Directors Shankar and Lingusamy released the audio CDs. Music composer Ilayaraja while speaking on this occasion said, “I am motivating the youngsters with the intention of bringing out the talents but when they grow up they are caught in the trap called image. What is success? We should not talk about it. A person who runs should keep on running. Only if he runs he can succeed. We should keep on running like the river, wind and the clouds. Rhythms and tunes are my relatives. I don’t have anybody else. While Director Mysskin spoke he said when all the assistant directors become new directors they should work with me atleast in one film. In this stage Mysskin is the only mediator for me. He is recommending me. I don’t need anyone. I am living with ragas. God has commanded me to be in the music and hence I am with it. I will not come out from there’
Tamil Nadu Film Producers Council Rama Narayanan, Distributors Council President Kalaipuli Sekaran, Film Exhibitors Association President Abhirami Ramanathan, Directors Lingusamy, Mysskin, Balaji Sakthivel, Madhesh, Poets Pa Vijay, Na Muthukumar, Palani Bharathi, Yuga Bharathi, Viveka, Tabu Shankar and Thamarai spoke on this occasion.
Producer Pa Srinivasan welcomed the gathering. Director Ananda Narayanan proposed the vote of thanks.
Filmmakers Lingusamy and Balaji Sakthivel get framed under Case No 18/7. Does this make sense? We were really blown out of waters on heeding to this line. But, later it was revealed that Case No 18/7 was film’s title. Yeah! Followed by ‘Kalloori’, Director Balaji Sakthivel has completed penning script for this film and has roped in newcomers for the lead roles.
Director Lingusamy is producing this film under the banner of ‘Tirupathi Brothers’. Nothing has been revealed about rest of the cast and crew till the date. At the moment, Director Balaji Sakthivel is vividly training the newcomers on the title cards for the perfection of shots.

Actor Madhavan has finally lost out his battle with producer Gaurav Sharma for the film ‘Naan Aval Adhu’. The film being a remake of Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Darling’ has been directed by Kona Venkat. With the film’s shooting completed a long time back, Maddy wasn’t paid with his pending remuneration of Rs.60 Lakhs.
When the hand-in-hand tiff between producer and actor went to an extreme, Tamil Nadu Producers Council intervened and favored the case in terms of producers. Much frustrated actor has turned down the offer of dubbing for his voice. With no options left, the filmmaker has planned to carry the task through dubbing artist.
When approached Madhavan, he replied, ‘No comments. Let’s see to it when the film releases…”
Few months back, ‘Poi Solla Poram’ filled the cinema halls with a hilarious moment with an extraordinarily different theme… And here goes another film on the rise titled ‘Gola Golaya Mundhrika’. Madhumitha who earlier made her debut directorial with ‘Vallamai Tharayo’ has come with this one handling screenplay and direction while story and screenplay have been penned by Crazy Mohan.
When asked Crazy Mohan how does he feel working with a newcomer after getting through a vivid experience with well-experienced auteurs? Crazy comes up with an interesting reply, “There is nothing such thing called top-charting filmmakers and newcomers. It all depends on how they craft the screenplay and Madhumitha has done a wonderful job…”
How about you Madhumitha? You took on with a family entertainer and now off sudden seems to be hop-skipping into a new genre of comedy. Well, Crazy gets into the task of responding, “Why? Should the family always be bounded with tragedies? Why not comedy?”
Poi Solla Poram fame Karthik performs lead role while a newcomer has been offered to star him opposite in the female lead. Film has already started rolling and is slated to hit the screens by Decembe2009.
