Actor Vishal is much distressed with his continuous flops and again now he has roped in debutant to direct his film. The film titled ‘Theeradha Vilaiyaatu Pillai’ features Vishal in lead role with three heroines starring him opposite in female lead. Precisely, Neethu Chandra was confirmed earlier and today it has been finalized about Bollywood bombshell Tanushree Dutta will be another one. Director Thiru says, ‘We are holding talks with another newcomer and will be done within couple of days.’

Prakash Raj, Santhanam, Sathyan, Mayilsamy and others have been signed for performing prominent roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja scores music while Aravind Krishna cranks the camera… The film will hit the floors by first week of August herein Chennai and will get released for Pongal.

Musical Maestro A.R. Rahman has finally launched his son into his world of music. Aye! The seven-year old Alim has been learning music from his dad for a long time and now is set to croon a song in Rahman’s Hollywood composition for ‘Couples Retreat’ directed by Peter …. Rahman had just tried voice test on Alim and got passed it on to the filmmaker, who was much fascinated.

The film has the situation of a kid singing and Alim will take over the stands for it. ‘Couples Retreat’ is a romantic comedy set to hit the screens by December 2009.

In recent times, it looks like most of the media channels are running out of proper stories and merely they’ve left with no options other than penning gossips and false stories. One amongst them was ‘Shah Rukh Khan in ASAL’ and then ‘Aamir Khan remaking ‘Varalaaru’. Recently, ‘Ayan’ getting remade in Hindi with Salman Khan in lead role has been creating buzzes.

But K.V. Anand has clearly stated that he never had such an idea about remaking the film in Hindi. The cinematographer turned filmmaker will now make a film with ‘Surya’ in lead role and Harris Jayaraj will score music. Allu Aravind will produce the film and shooting will hit the floors by next year.

Siva is one amongst the slum dwellers who was born and brought up over there. With the aid of his friends, Siva cheats the wealthy persons and delivers the money to poor and needy. Shankar, assistant commissioner of that area is involved in various social evils of corruption and others. Ranjani, an orphan by birth is raised by Shankar’s mother Rajeshwari and she has been fixed to marry him. But Rajeshwari doesn’t like her son’s illegal connections and meanwhile Siva and Ranjini fall in love with each other. However, Shankar opposes it strongly and there begins the clash between Good and Evil.

Hari Varun enacts the role of Siva, Ansari as Shankar and Shivani as Ranjini. The film’s shooting started rolling in Chennai and the fast-approaching the climax portions.

Dheena scores music to the lyrics of Na. Muthukumar while Surya cranks the camera. V.T. Vijayan is the editor with Vijaya Gopal assigned as art director.

The film is produced by J.S. Kumar while S.B. Kishore handles story, screenplay, dialogues and direction.

Actor Rajan P Dev has been a fantastic actor right throughout his career with magniloquent hits across various South Indian films. Unfortunately, the actor was prone to severe vomiting blood before 4 days. He was admitted at Lakeshore Hospital in Cochin and Yesterday morning he breathed his last at the same hospital after remaining in coma. He is now survived by his wife, son and a daughter.

Devan started off with his career right from the early 70s and fetched the title of ‘Best Actor’ twice. He later continued making it big in various regional films in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Telugu. Some of his notable roles in Tamil movies including Suriyan, Gentleman, Vaimaiyae Vellum, Periya Idathu Mappillai, Love Today and Thommanum Makkalum.

Dev had also directed two Malayalam films Achamakuttiyude Achayan and Achante Kochu Molku.
