It was a great attempt by World renowned filmmaker who made films based on running trains, ships and buses. Over here in Kollywood, here’s debutant S.P.R. Raja making a film based on Bus Journey titled as ‘Payanangal Thodarum’. The film is produced by S.P. Rama Moorthy under the banner of Sri Saravanabhava Movies. The film is based on the bus journey between Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh and travelers in it. Much particularly, it’s all about a girl travelling in there and her love story and problems faced during the bus journey.

Chandira Haasan does the lead role with Valluvan Vasuki fame Swetha stars him opposite in the female lead role. Apart from them, Ganja Karuppu, Shakeela, Sundar and many others perform prominent roles in this film.

Saalai Sahadevan cranks the camera with V. Tashi scoring music and Seenivas- Babu handling editing.

Plans are to complete the film’s shooting within in a single schedule and release the film by September. Director SPR Raja assures that the film will be more enhancing and beautiful than previous films like ‘12B’ and ‘Parthen Rasithen’ that were set at the backdrops of Bus.

Followed by the grand success of ‘Silandhi’, Producer Sanjay of G. Company is ready with the next film ‘Swetha’ that carries the tagline of ‘5/10 Wellington Road’. ‘Silandhi’ had debutant Aadhi making a good directorial with digital prints and the film witnessed extraordinary collections at box office.

Recently, a stunt sequence was shot across the Mysore-Bangalore lane called ‘Nice Road’. Erstwhile, the road wasn’t allowed for the use of Public and for the first time a film has been shot. 20 magnificent stunt bikes each costing Rs.15,000 rent was hired for shooting the stunts.

Film’s protagonist Harish happens to be a bike racer and other persons who took part in this stunt scene were his friends. They did a wonderful job by performing stunts on the road and many times skidded to the roads.

Actress Keerthi Chawla who appeared in homely costumes till the date will shed her image and go for the extreme glamour that was earlier performed by ‘Monika’ in ‘Silandhi’. Of course, her Bikini and Swimsuit acts will surely steal the hearts of young guys in town.

Yujin alias Anbu is producing a film titled Nellai Pattinam under the banner Nakshatra Movie Makers. Udhay is doing the lead role while Sowbarniga is pairing with him. K H Sujith who has written the story, screenplay and dialogues is directing this film. The story is about a romance between a poor boy and a rich girl and the problems they undergo. The parent of the girl with the intention of killing the hero bashes him. But fortunately he survives and struggles and comes up in life. He becomes richer then the heroine’s family.

Whether the lovers unite is the rest of the story. Shyam Krishna is composing the music while Prajith is handling the camera. Bala is the choreographer. The shooting of this place is taking place in Tirunelveli and Kanyakumari. A huge township set in an area of 700 sq ft is being erected in Tirunelveli. Shooting of this film is to take place in these sets. This film is being made in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada languages. This film is to be released by end of August.

Actress Poorna is acting as a Christian girl in the film Vithagan. She said,” I am doing a role called Mercy in the film Vithagan which has Parthiban in the lead. He is also directing this film. I am also acting with Jai in Arjunan Kadhali and with Vishnu in Drohi. Apart from this I am pairing with Nakulan in Kandha Kottai. There is a question why should I act with senior actor in Vithagan when I am acting with young actors. The reason for this is Vithagan’s story. This action film is centered on the hero.

But the speciality is the different kind of screenplay. I will be doing the work which normally hero does in the climax scene. This film will bring out my acting skills. It is really comfortable to work with young heroes because they don’t have big image and there will be lot of importance for romantic scenes. Equal importance will be given for heroines. But at the same time if you act with big actors, you can be popular among the audience. We can learn a lot of things about cinema from them. As far as I am concerned acting with elder actors and younger actors doesn’t make any difference for me.”

Idhu Kadhal Udhiram Kalam is a film produced jointly by A Kalimuthu and P K Shivashree under the banner Sree Images. New faces P K Shivashree, Jayan Raj, Akila and Geetha are starring in this film. Sethu is donning the role of a girl which has great significance in this film. Tamil J is handling the camera and directing this film. He had worked as an assistant to Late Cinematographer and Director Jeeva. The story is about a girl who migrates to Kerala and the triangular romance takes place.

The shooting of the film took place for 43 days in Kerala, Nagerkoil and Muttam. The shooting is over. Hitesh has composed the music while Muruga Ram is editing this film.

The shooting of the film has taken place in Chidambaram, Chennai, Thiruvanamalai and Tamil Nadu-Andhra borders.
