In the wee hours of the morning the famous AVM Studios was struck by fire accident, causing much damage to the property. According to sources, no one was hurt in the accident and only the sets of Vettaikkaran movie and a TV show had suffered the accidental blaze. It took almost two hours and eight fire fighters to bring down the fire. Police revealed that though the source of the fire is unknown, they feel it might be due to a short circuit.AVM Studios has given base to several Tamil cinemas and also served as a platform to other regional films in the country; making it one of the most-sought shooting destinations of any filmmaker.
