None would have expected that Simran would make her reentry so comfortably and fetch good credits with the roles she has been donning. But she made it with a good support extended by her husband Deepak. It is something difficult for a woman to play 4 different roles at the same time: Mother, Wife, Actresses and Assistant Director. Well, the first three roles are something that we knew before and what about assistant director? Yes. Simran wanted her husband to be a part in film industry and thought of recommending him to work as assistant director. It was Mani Rathnam who came to her mind immediately and Simran approached him without any delay. However, things were different once she met the ace filmmaker. Mani Rathnam wanted Simran to be his assistant director and she has accepted to work with him. At present, busy shooting for couple of flicks ‘Seval’ and ‘Aiyndham Padai’, Simran will start assisting Mani Rathnam for the bilingual project in Hindi and Tamil starring Abhishek Bacchan, Aishwarya Rai and Vikram in lead roles.
