Both Vijay and Prabhu Deva are trying to recreate the magic of Pokkiri with their current film Villu. While Pokkiri was the remake of a Telugu film starring Mahesh Babu, Villu reportedly is inspired by the Hindi film Soldier that starred Bobby Deol and Preity Zinta.
